A personality, a creative director, a political commentator, a military brat, Drexel has had his hands in all different kinds of outlets. Having been an active member of bipartisan political circles while at North Carolina State University, Drexel's knowledge of how the government works, his keen sense of domestic and international policy, coupled with his love for Washington news, has made him a leading voice in a generation.
Throughout his career, Drexel has provided his expertise to both Democrats and Republicans seeking election. His political talents were quite impactful in aiding elections in North Carolina and across the country as well as the election President Obama’s 2008 and 2012 Presidential Campaigns. Drexel’s knowledge of the government system, keen sense of domestic and international policy, and love of Washington News naturally created his strong political voice, which he happily utilizes through social media and many other outlets to lead the generation through any political climate.
Drexel is a strategic communications, public and government relations, and brand experience advisor in Los Angeles, advising many incumbent and first time candidates, companies, labor unions, non-profits and more. He is currently a Principal at Phase Strategies a national strategic consulting firm.
In 2019, he was named the youngest and first Black Executive Director of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, the nation's largest local Democratic Party representing 3.1 million Democrats. Drexel is a former marketing and events executive and project coordinator who has worked for Universal Studios, Macy's and more. He is an executive board member and a delegate to the California Democratic Party. He was the former Chief Political Analyst for AfterbuzzTV, and was the lead host for AfterBuzz TV's "The Political Beat". Drexel sits on several boards including the Board of Advisors and Political Action Committee for Equality California and is an appointed member of the Los Angeles City Task Force for Youth Development and was the first Black Community Vice President for Stonewall Democrats Los Angeles.
